Mr Frederick Richard Bones, 88-years-old veteran of the National Union of Agricultural Workers, of Bounds View, Boughton, attended an investiture at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday to receive the M.B.E. awarded to him in the New Year's Honours.Mr Bones, who was accompanied by his daughter, Mrs C.E. Jones and granddaughter, Miss Lilian A. Bones, received his award, made for his long service to agricultrual workers, from H.R.H. the Duke of Gloucester.
