Upton, Adam (b. 25 SEP 1878, d. 21 JUN 1944)

Note: Adam became a stoker in the Royal Navy. He was stationed in Portsmouth, his service number was 288069. Whilst ashore in France Adam and two other sailors were stopped by the French police, they picked him up and through him into the water. They were all arrested and sentenced to be excecuted, but luck was with them and the British Navy got their sentence revocked. Adam was killed whilst riding his motor bike by an army lorry
